Since being introduced to the sport of triathlon in 2011, I have gone from a complete rookie with no background in endurance sports to winning multiple amateur titles from sprint distance all the way up to Ironman. Winning Ironman Canada in 2017 was a dream come true, one that was only possible through years of consistent hard work, an incredible support team and a commitment to self improvement year in and out.

I have learned so much on my journey in triathlon and love to take every opportunity I can to share it with others. If you are committed to getting stronger, faster and don’t mind some good old fashioned hard work, don’t hesitate to get in touch!

  • "I have been a fit, sporty individual all my life. But one day I decided to fully dedicate myself to competing in triathlons. Dylan was probably the best coach for me to choose from. I went from someone who was in a good physical shape to a serious athlete. Within a few months, my performances dramatically increased. I went from the top 50% of a race to podium very quickly. Not only did Dylan make me faster but he also made me stronger. I was able to complete my first 70.3 in a record time of 4:28:01!

Dylan provides a fantastic and catered training plan, weekly feedback, equipment consultation, race strategy and most important of all: accountability! Hiring Dylan as my coach has been one of the best investments in my life as he changed my approach to training, brought discipline to my lifestyle and allowed me to over-achieve goals that I would have never dreamt of."

  • "Dylan has been my coach for the past 2 years of racing. Since linking up with Dylan he has taken my racing to the next level. Dylan was able to get me not only to the start line of a 70.3 race but I was also able to win my AG and place 13th OA. I feel that with Dylan as my coach, my running has gone to the next level. Darkside Racing Club has a great group of athletes and our competitive edge and comradery makes the track sessions not only fun but a pleasure to be a part of. I feel like with Dylan’s guidance I am held accountable to my training and his weekly training plans really help to keep me on track.

Dylan also provides an extensive knowledge base on racing nutrition, race day strategy as well as tips in becoming faster with regards to bike set up, minor adjustments/part recommendations. Dylan also provides a personal touch when coming up to a big event ensuring I am well prepared and instilling in me that I am ‘ready’. Under Dylan I placed 1st AG in all but one race I competed in, the one lone blemish was coming off an injury, it was a ‘test event before Worlds’.

A big thanks to Dylan because I have never felt as race ready as I have with him as my coach. Dylan is an all round great guy."

  • "Since bringing on Dylan as a coach I have significantly lowered my 70.3 time while training less but smarter. Despite dealing with a nagging injury most of the year, Dylan developed a plan that allowed my injury to heal while still keeping my fitness at a level to complete IM Louisville at a high level. Cannot wait to see what I can accomplish with him in the coming year."

  • "I have spent the majority of my life as a triathlete battling with on-going injuries that were holding me back from reaching my full potential. Dylan has successfully used his knowledge to keep me injury free so that I may participate to the best of my ability in the triathlon community.

He continually pushes me to work harder and beat my personal best times with every race. He invests time in designing each workout session around his clients. He targets your strengths and builds up your weaknesses so you may have better race results. His immense knowledge and experience of the sport gives him an amazing outlook. Watching Dylan push his limits as an athlete while being a father is an on-going inspiration."

  • "As a novice triathlete, Dylan's steady coaching style helped me gain the confidence to push myself in training which has led to many successful races. If you want to challenge yourself to get better at endurance sports, Dylan is your guy!"

  • "I can't say enough about coach Dylan. I joined Darkside in late 2014 in preparation for the 2015 Whistler Ironman Canada. Since working with Dylan, I've raced my way to Top 10 finishes at both Victoria Ironman 70.3, and the Whistler 70.3, and in particular he's dispensed TONS of super valuable training and racing tips. I feel that his coaching has helped me improve year after year, and as a bonus it's a super great group of athletes that train with Darkside."

  • "I started working with Dylan back in 2014. I wanted to complete my first Ironman, had two young kids and did a lot of travel for work. I wanted to maximize my limited training time. I had no prior background in any of the sports and wanted the right mix of training in all three disciplines.

Dylan created a training plan specific to my schedule, goals and fitness level that worked out really well in all my races. I was well prepared for every race and had continuous support through group workouts, emails and Training Peaks. If you are starting with triathlons, looking to do your first Ironman or looking to improve your race time, I highly recommend giving Dylan a call. He will sit down with you and create a training plan that will provide you with the best race outcome."
