If there is a fountain of youth, I'd say it's endurance sports. I'm always blown away hearing what age group some people are racing in, this definitely holds true with Brad Matthews. With multiple sub-5 70.3's over the past couple of years and the way he rides and runs you would never know. #50isthenew40 Happy Birthday buddy!!
#timetrialtuesday - In case you didn't know, we do equipment consulting. If you're interested in finding out how you can be more efficient on the bike next season, don't hesitate to get in touch! 🚴💨💨💨
Today's profile is @frasermilling . We began working together back in 2015. Fraser came to me with the goals to: A - develop into a stronger athlete

and

B - Break 5 hours in a 70.3

Though we didn't achieve goal B in year 1, we definitely achieved goal A as he took 26 minutes off his previous PR. We kept focusing on goal A in year 2 and what do you know, he smashes 5 hours going 4:42 at #IM703Victoria
Goal B ✅

When you are patient, focus on the process and not the result, that's when the magic happens. Looking forward to toeing the line with this guy at #im703stgeorge this May.
Today's Darkside Athlete profile is @juanjaramillo93 I've known Juan since my early days in Triathlon. I could always count on him to keep me honest at the track! Last year he came to me very frustrated as he had not been able to make a triathlon start line in 2 seasons due to being plagued by running injuries. We worked together to build a plan that would bring his running fitness up to speed slowly. It required a whole lot of patience on his part but clearly paid off as he not only made multiple start lines this year, but crushed his 70.3 PR's going sub5 twice and placing 2nd overall at a local sprint. Bring on 2018! Way to go Juan!!
Today's Athlete profile is Damir Tresnjo. I've had the pleasure of working with Damir since coaching him to his first Ironman finish in Whistler in 2014. Never letting the challenge of ongoing work travel to Asia impact his consistency, he has continued to improve across the board year over year. It was no surprise to me when he smashed his PR at IM Frankfurt this summer going 11:27! You can see his full profile on our website. Link in bio.
